Full of Purpose
June 16 is an important date on the South African calendar which is an anniversary of the 1976 Soweto uprising where South African history had one of its defining moments by the youth of that generation, with that said we host our Youth Seminars to commemorate this historic day.
We stand as tall as we are because we are on the shoulders of heroes and heroines who sacrificed their lives for the sake of this generation and time in history.
The theme of the day is “full of purpose” which I doubt needs further explanation. Through the theme we tried to instill direction and a sense of purpose in the youth that attended the event to fuel their life with purpose.
The main objection was to address the mind, body and soul through a model that is listed below and we intend to make full of purpose a yearly event in KwathemaTsakaneDuduza (kwatsaduza) and grow it to Ekurhuleni.
Mind: Motivational talks and Music
Body: Academic Educ
Soul: Spirituality.
The event had various speakers and we tackled the following topics; Business, education, the entertainment industry, inspirational speakers and we had a Bishop (Bishop SE Mkhawane) who spoke a mouth full to the youth. On the day, there was flair and entertainment that was displayed through poetry, music and drama. It is through this event that I realized we have so much talent in our communities. As a result, the day was filled with young lively individuals from Tsakane ,Kwathema and Duduza. We are looking to expand the event to more cities as we grow the seminars.
